Linus

Linus Benedict Torvalds is a Finnish American software engineer. He is the main programmer behind the Linux Kernel. In 1997, Torvalds received his Master degree from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Helsinki. His programming days began when he was very young when he got his first computer and reprogrammed the operating system. Linux is an open source operating system. Linux was created in 1991 by Linus Torvalds. The majority of today's Ubuntu or Linux users are a global and professional group who have been using the operating system for the past few years for a mix of work and leisure; they value its open source nature, security, speed, and user experience, but still typically use Windows as well somewhere in their lives.The most obvious advantage of using Linux is the fact that it is free to obtain, while Microsoft products are available for a hefty and sometimes recurring fee.  In line with the costs, the security aspect of Linux is much stronger than that of Windows. Why should you have to spend extra money for virus protection software? The Linux operating system has been around since the early nineties and has managed to stay secure in the realm of widespread viruses, spyware and adware for all these years. The most common reoccurring problem complained about among Linux users is its incompatibility with a  lot of different programs. Another problem with Linux is its inability to transfer a lot of old windows files to the new operating system. The most notable difference between Linux and the other operating system available is that Linux is an open source operating system, meaning it is free of cost and allows users to edit things as they please. I am a user of Linux myself on occasion and I find that it offers a lot of freedom and in my opinion it is an operating system made by programmers for programmers.
